It is my firm belief that everyone needs a proper pair of gloves. Socks get a lot of love in the knitting world, and what’s a glove, really, except a sock for your hands?

The stitch pattern is charted, and probably simple enough that advanced knitters can cable without a needle. Choose a neutral solid color or gently flecked yarn for a subtle, classic look that goes with everything. Or choose that too-fancy-to-actually-use yarn that you’ve been saving for the perfect pattern. The sample gloves were knit with Gritty Knits Hombre yak/silk blend yarn in the color “Catahoula”, a natural gray with black/brown tweedy flecks.

These will fit a hand circumference between 6”-8” measured across the knuckles. For larger sizes, switch up to a size #2 needle.
