A River Runs Through
There are many rivers on the north coast of California. Classic Elite Yarns Liberty Wool has some colorways that remind me of the many colors that river water can be. I had been playing around with making a “wavy” scarf but it was somewhat boring. I decided to turn the scarf idea into a wrap. The gray of the narrow strips remind me of the color of river rocks and the green seed stitch border of mossy river banks. This wrap is completely reversible. The strips are worked separately and then joined with a single crochet that is worked on both sides of the wrap. The stitches will travel with the curve on one side of the strip and opposite the curve on the other side. Since there is no wrong side (only side A or side B) you don’t have to fuss to make sure the good side shows. Just pick it up, wrap yourself up (easy, since it is 28 x 68 inches) and go. :)
