A Ruffled Jacket, in Knitting
Out of print.
This pattern was
available for free.
This daintiest of dressing jackets is knitted in a most unusual stitch, which gives a delightful ruffled effect. The instructions are intended for a medium figure, 36 inches bust measure. For larger or smaller figures, add or subtract 26 stitches (two ruffles) from the body part.
The garment is commenced at the lower edge, and is knitted in one piece as far as the sleeves; thus there are no side seams.
MATERIALS: 7 ozs. 2-ply Knitting Wool or 3-ply Baby Wool. Two No. 8 Stratnoid knitting needles (extra long) or a circular knitting pin.
Tension: approx 2 ruffles per inch (measured at the top of the ruffle)
