This sock design is knit with the “A Touch of Whimsy” design pattern that I used in accessories of the same name. This pattern creates a long leg, using the lace/cable design - unlike A Touch of Whimsy Socks, which is a folded cuff.

Cuff down; heel flap construction.

Both written directions and charts are in the pattern -knitter’s choice as to which she/he prefers to use.

My designs are also available on individual blog posts (as seen below) where you can increase the size of the photos which may be useful in st. pattern definition or a very good look at the design. Or you may find pattern steps detailed; techniques explained; additional pattern notes and/or tips, etc., depending upon the pattern.

Yarn: 2 – 50 gr. skeins Knit Picks Dancing sock yarn or 100 gr. of the sock yarn of choice

Needles: US size 1 (2.5mm) set of 5 dpns (or socknitting method of choice).
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.

Notions: cable needle, darning needle, stitch holder, stitch markers.

Happy Knitting!
