One cake of color-changing “Blossoms” and three simple lace patterns come together to create this lyrical stitch sampler cowl.

NOTE: The first version of the pattern did not say “join in the round” after casting on. This cowl is worked in the round.

The photo shows the cowl with one less repeat of the first stitch pattern than the pattern lists. This was to help ensure no one ran out of yarn. Add it back if you don’t mind a little yarn chicken. ;)

MATERIALS:
Yarn: Wonderland Yarns “Blossoms” sock/fingering weight, 425 yards/4 oz skein; 80% superwash merino & 20% nylon: 1 cake: shown in “Heart Leaf Fern”
Needles & Notions: US size 5 circular needles, 16”-20” long OR size needed to get proper gauge, yarn needle
Gauge: 28 sts & 30 rows = 4”/ 10 cm in Rhyming Ridges pattern
Measurements: 23”/ 58.5 cm around and 17”/43 cm tall, blocked
Abbreviations: BO: bind off; CO: cast on; K: knit; K2tog: knit two stitches together; sts: sts; ssk: slip two stitches as if to knit, one at a time, to the right hand needle, insert the needle through the fronts of the stitches and knit them together; P: purl; YO: yarn over
