This little vest was designed for my cousin Gus. He is named in honor of his Great Great Grandfather, my favorite uncle, Uncle Gus! The front of the vest has a series of little cars that are worked in purl stitch on a stockinette background. The purl bumps “pop” from the flat background to showcase the design. If you are going to work this pattern, remember that a lighter color yarn must be used so that the design can be seen.
