This is the preliminary pattern for a knitted three dimensional Christmas scene in a box. This first pattern contains a full materials list for the whole project as well as instructions on making the back, sides, top and bottom of the box.

The finished box measures about 23 cm wide, 19 cm tall and 6.5 cm deep. Plastic canvas panels help it to keep its shape. There are lots of fun knitted details, including a cottage, trees, a post box and a snowman. These are all sewn on in layers so that the picture has a lot of depth.

The rest of the patterns, twelve in all, will be published every other day in December, starting on the 1st December.
