Aarni
Knitting at its best can give you clarity and peace of mind. Let this sweater lead you through old-growth forest and help you find yourself a quiet spot. (The name, Aarni, is Finnish and refers to old-growth forest.)
Aarni is a relaxed boxy sweater with 3/4 length raglan sleeves. The sweater features a simple eyelet stitch pattern on the sleeves and a cable pattern in the front. Aarni is worked seamlessly top down and the back of the neck is shaped with short rows.

This sweater is meant to be worn with positive ease. Choose a size with approx. 8’’/20 cm positive ease at bust circumference.

Needles
US 3 (3.25 mm) and US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needle, 24’’/60 cm long, and dpns in the bigger size if you prefer to work the sleeves with them. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the right gauge.
Gauge
20 sts x 26 rnds = 4x4’’ / 10x10 cm in stockinette stitch with the bigger needles, knit in the round (after blocking).
Other
4 sts markers, scrap yarn, cable needle, tapestry needle.
