Abriachan
Abriachan is the first in a series of patterns inspired by my Summer Travels - you can read about them here.
A pretty cowl inspired by the colours of the Scottish hillside. This pattern uses an absolutely gorgeous yarn – Malabrigo Rastita. The delicate “watercolour” variegated colourway reflects the natural beauty of the Highlands with jewel tone greens, subtle greys and heathery purples and pinks. Variegated yarns look lovely in the skein, but it can be a challenge to find the right design for them. This cowl has slipped stitches, and gathered strands of yarn running across it to really showcase a special multicoloured yarn.
