Two lace motifs - each an inversion of the other - line up around this cowl. Each is an abstraction, a symbol of something precious: hourglasses and diamonds, crafted stitch by stitch in a luxurious yarn.

Choose two colors that play well together - you can have bold stripes or subtle ones, or even work the cowl all in one color or make every band different. This cowl is knit in the round from the bottom up.
