Abundance Dickey / Neck & Chest Warmer

With the thought of using my old hand-dyed wool yarns, I ended up with this design which has strong roots with Turkish elements. I inspired from Turkish rugs, because the colors are very Turkish & Traditional Turkish Rugs are always made from %100 hand-dyed wools.

There are lots of meaningful symbols using in the Turkish Rugs. Main symbol in my design is a version of ‘Elibelinde’ symbol. It is the femininity symbol which refers to abundance, fertility, fortune, luck & happiness. ‘The Eyes’ (little circle symbols inside the ‘Elibelinde’) are the protector for the evil eyes & malice and ‘The Hands’ (symbols in the bottom) are creativity symbol, also has strength & power meanings. In the edges there is watercourse symbol refers to Fluidity & Variablity. Its actually life itself.

Whoever wear this dickey will have lots of Abundance, Power & Fortune, Also always protected from evil eyes & malice.
