Notes From the Designer:
Acalypha are copperleaf plants native to Fiji and neighboring South Pacific islands. This semicircular shawl features several leaf-themed stitch patterns. It begins with a garter tab at the top center, progresses from simple increases and stockinette stitch to various lace stitches, and finishes with a knit-on leaf border. Just five increase rows are spaced throughout the body so that you can enjoy the lace knitting without worrying about an ever-changing stitch count.

- Gauge is not crucial to this project, but will affect yardage and size.
- Pattern uses three colors but can be made with more or fewer if preferred.
- Shawl begins with the Garter Tab Cast-on. Instructions for this method are in Special Stitches on page 4.
- Blocking is crucial to showcase the lace patterns. Do not be afraid to stretch firmly.
