After reading an article on Knitty.com about dyeing yarn with Kool-Aid, I was eager to try it. I chose natural white Morehouse Merino, a soft and fluffy yarn that soaks up the blitz-red of Tropical Punch Kool-Aid like a sponge. Once the yarn was dyed, I created a layered, accordion effect, using elastic cord for shaping, and then lined the top and bottom outside edges with thin, red velvet elastic trim.
