Ad Astra Lace Shawl
Aster. The name of the flower comes from Latin aster because of the shape of its flowers, from Ancient Greek aster, “star”. Ad astra is a Latin phrase meaning “to the stars”. The phrase has origins with Virgil, who wrote sic itur ad astra “thus one journeys to the stars”, from Aeneid.
CHARTS ONLY. No line by line description.
Top down Crescent shape shawl. The amount of yarn will depend on the yarn used and gauge (needle size). Testers used between 400m and 600m.
1565 beads. Testers achieved various sizes measured down the ‘spine’ of the shawl towards the scallop, depending on the yarn , gauge and blocking. (40cm to 57+cm)
Please see the test thread.
