A beautifully textured sweater knitted in gorgeous Nutiden yarn. Inspired by my love of gansey knitting, this classic raglan sweater has been thoughtfully modified for a beautifully flattering fit across all sizes. It features a traditional gansey-inspired knit-and-purl texture that works wonderfully with the character of the yarn.

Choose a dark shade for a classic, understated look, or go light to really embrace the beautiful interplay of light and shadow created by the deeply textured fabric.

The Adela Sweater is designed as a transitional garment, with a cropped silhouette and pretty three-quarter-length French sleeves, perfect for those in-between days.

The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down, starting at the collar. The raglan construction makes it easy to customize both the fit and the proportions of the garment.

Option 1 creates a more robust—but still wonderfully lightweight—fabric. It’s especially recommended for mohair lovers and for knitters who are just beginning to explore the world of unspun yarn. Option 2 creates an airier, lighter fabric.

GAUGE
16 sts x 24 rounds = 10 x 10 cm in textured stitch on gauge- sized needles, after blocking.

NEEDLES
— 5.5 mm circular needle for the body (or needle size to obtain gauge).
— 5 mm circular needle for the neck, hem and cuffs (or below-sized gauge to obtain gauge).
