The 3/4 sleeve Adelaide jacket uses an unusual construction technique, in which the sweater is worked in one piece from the outside edge of the border and then up from the bottom hem. The held front edge and collar stitches are caught in at the start of every other right-side row as the body is worked. If you work the sleeves in the round, there’s no seaming involved at all. Pretty clever, if I do say so myself!

Shown here in Araucania Nature Wool Chunky in size S, it will also work in Cascade 220 or any heavy-worsted or bulky yarn you can get gauge with. Sized for XS (28-30” bust) to 3x (52-54” bust). Yardage given above is for working the sweater in a single color overall; amount will vary based on size made and the type of yarn used, but 200-350 yards of the contrast color is required if using two colors.
