This pattern makes a shawl! After a slightly curious beginning, this KAL promises long stretches of meditative, mostly brainless knitting. The pattern will keep a gradient in order but will also look great with random color placement.

This pattern is designed to accommodate light fingering weight 10g (46yd/42m) or 20g (92yd/84m) mini skein countdown calendar/ “advent” sets containing 24 colors. Feel free to build your own set from your scrap stash too!

The pattern was designed to use the same amount of yarn of each color, at least as much as possible given the math constraints (don’t worry, I did all the math for you!). The 10g version is expected to use 8-9g of each color and the 20g sample used 15-16g of each color.
