I’m pretty excited about this one, so here it goes…
Remember those “Choose your own adventure books” from years ago? Perhaps I’m dating myself, but I thought they were great and I thought, what if I can design a sock with that in mind? This pattern is the result.
This pattern is for a top-down sock that comes with four different charted stitch patterns: 1) Deep into the forest (photo 3, right-hand side), 2) Look behind the waterfall (photo 4, left-hand side), 3) Under the ogre’s bridge (photo 4, right-hand side), and 4) Down into the canyon (photo 3, left-hand side). You can use one stitch pattern four times around the sock, or you can work all four charts one time each (like me!). You can make symmetrical socks or completely unsymmetrical ones - the end result is entirely up to you!!! Depending on the kind of sock “adventure” you’d like to have!
So four charts, one pattern means you can make numerous different pairs of socks from this one design (which is also why it’s a bit more expensive than my other patterns). Anyway, I really enjoyed creating this one and have ideas for at least two other “Adventure Socks” - ENJOY!!!.
ERRATA: I guess I forgot to say what “X” is in the key. “X” means ktbl.
