Adventurist Mitts
The beat up SUV wound down the narrow dirt road, following hairpin turns overshadowed by the thick forest canopy. The tires rumbled and slid at steep parts, even going slowly. Small, cream colored arrows were nailed to the occasional pine: LIGHTHOUSE. The GPS had left off a while ago, and this road resembled a driveway more than a street. Golden sunlight hovered like ghosts among the trees, slivers of light stationary amidst lush leaves and twisting branches. Ahead, a clearing! Whitewashed buildings with mossy granite foundations came into view. Across, to the left, a sunsaltfaded boardwalk leading straight out to the lighthouse. Adventure, found.
These mitts are the ideal stash busting project! They’re tiny, quick, and squishy, with the CC needing only 50 yards for the largest size!
Mitts are worked seamlessly in the round from the bottom up. Thumbhole sts are placed on waste yarn, then worked after seamlessly in the round.
Please note that slip stitch patterns can be notoriously tight, so please make sure to swatch!
The cardi photographed is the Cedarwood Cardi from a collaboration with Brooklyn Tweed Wool People.
