I chose the name Aeternus, which means eternal in Latin, because I believe that is the perfect description for this timeless, elegant scarf.

The scarf is worked flat in one piece with an i-cord border along the side edges. It starts with a provisional cast-on and ends with an invisible ribbed cast-off for matching ends. The smocked lace pattern can be worked from a chart or written instructions, whichever you prefer.
