N O T E S
The trapper hat is worked in Brioche in the round, beginning at the top with a circular cast on, alternating yarns each round. The ear flaps are worked separately.
Finally, an applied i-cord is added around the edge of the hat, complete with optional i-cord ties on the ear flaps. This provides versatile wearability and multiple ways to style it. Intended to fit with some positive ease.
Tip: Using combination knitting (wrapping purl sts the
opposite way) is helpful to maintain gauge when moving
from working in the round to flat.
