How delightful is this colorway? Believe it or not, it is named “Unbirthday Party” from Potion’s Yarns. And when I found it, a memory was struck, and I was instantly transported back to the mad hatter’s tea party from Alice in Wonderland, which happens to be one of my favorite childhood classic books.
Ta-da, that’s where this sock pattern inspo came from!
Perfect for intermediate-level knitters, this toe-up and cuff-down sock pattern features a classic lace and cable motif that runs up the front of the sock. This pattern is incredibly easy to substitute your favorite heel for, so no matter your knitting preferences, you can knit a pair that you’ll love!
Worked in the round, Afternoon Tea contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for an afterthought heel, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using.
The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer.
