Afternoon Tea Mitts
Here is a quick and easy project that can be completed in one afternoon! This mitt is crocheted in a spiral from the cuff to the fingers, much like a tube sock. It begins with a Foundation Single Crochet. The Foundation Single Crochet Bridge is used at the thumb. There are very detailed pictures and videos for both techniques in the www.futuregirl.com tutorials.
The S/M measures 6 ½” and the M/L measures 7” inches in circumference; the glove is stretchy and fits well with 1/2-3/4”
of negative ease. To figure out which size to make, measure the circumference of your hand above the thumb and below
the fingers. For example, for a 7” hand try making the S/M size.
Sample knit in Berroco Vintage Chunky (50% acrylic, 40% wool, 10% nylon) color #6180 Dried Plum, 100 gm/130 yards.
