Against the Current
Sometimes in life, it feels like we are swimming against the current, like we have to fight for every little bit of progress - but in the end, it is worth the effort, so keep fighting.
This hat, on the other hand, is not a fight, but a pleasure to knit and to wear - and the one contrast coloured stripe that goes in a different direction than the rest of the texture can be your reminder to be yourself and keep swimming against the current, if you feel it is the right thing to do.
Use your two favourite colours together, or a leftover from a favourite, special yarn for the contrast stripe - whatever you do, make sure it is right for you!
