Ageusia
Ageusia is the loss of taste functions of the tongue. When that happens, the texture of the food becomes paramount. This hat uses texture in the form of seed stitch to make it interesting. The finished hat has a band of seed stitch and the crown is formed by alternating sections of stockinette and seed stitch. A decorative tab with an optional button accents the side.
I’m calling this a recipe instead of a pattern, because there is no specified gauge and everything is adjustable. The hat starts with the band, which is knit to fit. Yarnover loops worked along the band eliminate the need to pick up stitches.
