“Aguo” is a crescent-shaped shawl knit from side to side in one piece, featuring a stockinette stitch body interspersed with garter stitch ridges.
The sophisticated, richly textured border showcases a Japanese lace pattern bordered by columns of twisted stitches and eyelets.

Shaping is achieved by a series of short row sections that create a slight curvature at the nape side,
which allows the shawl to wrap nicely around the shoulders and stay put.

Materials:

• Malabrigo Sock (100% Merino) 100g/ 440 yards (402 meters); 2 skeins or approx. 750 yards (686 meters) of any fingering weight yarn that knits up to gauge.
• US 2½ (3 mm) 40” (100 cm) circular needle
• Cable needle
• Two stitch markers
• Tapestry needle

One size fits all:
Finished measurements: length (outer edge): 59” (150 cm); depth (center): 19.75” (50 cm)

Gauge:
20 sts and 31 rows per 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch after blocking – save time by checking the gauge ♥
Gauge is not essential; however, with a different gauge, actual finished measurements and total yardage will change.

„Aguo“ ist ein sichelförmiges Tuch, das seitwärts in einem Stück gestrickt wird. Sein glatt rechter Hauptteil wird durch Krausrippen aufgelockert, während die anspruchsvolle, reichhaltig strukturierte Kante ein japanisches Ajourmuster mit Begrenzungslinien aus verdrehten Maschen und Lochreihen aufweist.

Seine besondere Form erhält das Tuch durch eine Anzahl verkürzte-Reihen-Abschnitte, die für eine leichte Krümmung an der Halsseite sorgen, wodurch sich das Tuch besonders gut um die Schultern legen läßt und nicht verrutscht.
