WORKING IN three tweedy shades of blue, teal and yellow, Mary Henderson has created pretty, traditional Fair Isle patterning for her winter accessories set. It comprises a cosy cowl, a hat, and a pair of mittens. Mary has knitted her set using a beautiful worsted-weight alpaca yarn from The Border Mill in Scotland. Yarn quantities given (one skein of each colorway) will make all 3 projects.

Actual circumference: 50.5 cm (20 inches)
Depth: (cast-on to crown): 23 cm (9 inches)

The Border Mill Alpaca Tweed (Heavy DK/ worsted weight; 100% alpaca; 190m/208yds per 100g skein)
A Mallard; 1 x 100g skein
B Peacock; 1 x 100g skein
C Golden Pear; 1 x 100g skein
Yarn quantities given will make all 3 projects. An extra skein each of yarns A and C may be required, as there was very little of these colours left when our samples were knitted.
