Are you tired of knitting the same cardigan over and over again?
“Aiolos” was designed with you in mind!

“Aiolos” is a fingering weight cardigan with stunning lace insets around the shoulder and across the back. Imagine the possibilities and combinations of color and texture! The front openings of the cardigan are sloped forward for a contemporary look. This garment will be great for the casual days and dress-up nights.

The sample cardigan was knit with Malabrigo Sock as the main color and Quince & Co. Finch for the lace insets. Both the main color and the inset color are worked at a gauge of 24 stitches and 32 rows per 4 inches.

Materials:

  • Main Color (MC): Malabrigo Sock (100% Merino) 100g/ 440 yards (402 meters): 3 (3, 3, [3, 4], 4, 4) skeins or approx. 1000 (1100, 1200, [1300, 1430], 1560, 1700) yards [914 (1006, 1097, [1189, 1307], 1426, 1554) meters] of fingering weight yarn that knits up to gauge.
  • Contrasting Color (CC): Quince & co. Finch (100% Wool) 50g/ 221 yards (202 meters): 1 skein or approx. 90 (100, 120, [140, 170], 210, 210) yards (82 (91, 110, [128, 155], 192, 192) meters) of fingering weight yarn that knits up to gauge.
  • US 2½ – 3 mm 24” (60 cm) & 40” (100 cm) circular needles or DPNs
  • US 4 – 3.5 mm 24” (60 cm) & 40” (100 cm) circular needles or DPNs
