The model shown was made using Moda Dea Floral yarn in the color Sage. I realize that this is a discontinued yarn, but Crystal Palace Nocturne DK is a good substitute that is still available. The springier the yarn you use, the better your final result will be. I think that a boucle yarn would do nicely as well, and would make a warmer, slightly heavier final product.

The pattern, as written, is best sized for S/M adult woman. To increase the circumference of the final product, add multiples of 6 to the starting chain. (Note that you will need more yarn if you do this.)

Change the look of the final product by adjusting the number of rounds crocheted on this project. Add rows to make a longer capelet or fuller cowl.

Pattern is written using American Standard crochet notation.

Gauge: 9 rows and 2 repeats of 5ch and 1sc pattern is approximately 4” x 4” when using the recommended yarn and a 10.00mm hook. Gauge is not particularly important for this project, although it will affect the amount of yarn needed to complete the pattern.

Final product dimensions: the model is approximately 13” long and 37” in circumference
