For a couple of years I managed to have dinner plate dahlias blossoming along my driveway. I was unable to nurse them through subsequent winters, but remember their glorious presence in my new yard. This pattern is a remembrance of them. It’s dimensional, yet can lay flat.

It can be one color, or four, or more.

With G hook and worsted weight yarn, the flower is 4.5 inches
With E hook and lightweight yarn, the flower is 3 inches
