The Alacer hat is all about choices! By shifting the colorwork pattern a few stitches, you can create a whole different look. So, whether you choose a classic beanie or a folded-brim watch cap, and decide to stack or stagger your diamonds, you’ll create a hat just for you!

Beanie: 90 (95, 100) yds / 82 (87, 92) meters of MC
45 (50, 55) yds / 41 (46, 51) meters of CC
Watch Cap: 130 (140, 150) yds / 119 (128, 137) meters of MC
45 (50, 55) yds / 41 (46, 51) meters of CC

As written, the brim of the hat is knit in the MC (as designated in the colorwork chart). If you choose to knit the brim in the CC, the yardage suggested for the MC will be adequate. But, please allow yourself a few extra yards of the secondary color then what is stated above.
