Alaska Doodle (Reversible Cowl)
DESTINATION DOODLES enable you to design & knit your favorite location!
THE ALASKA DOODLE was inspired by the breathtaking natural beauty of the state of Alaska. Whether it’s the rugged mountain ranges, icy oceans, or the iconic wildlife that you love about Alaska, this collection is perfect for any cozy project for beautiful, endless winters.
The 13 Alaska Charts include a blue whale, whale tail, iceberg, snow-capped mountain, snowflakes, moose, bald eagle, salmon, canoe, fishing pole, hydroplane, dog sled, and Alaskan malamute.
Check out #PKCAlaskaDoodle for more inspiration!
For additional pattern formats, please see Alaska Doodle Collection.
This is a Doodle Series Pattern, which means it includes micro charts intended to be used as mix-and-match colorwork motifs throughout the project. Use the charts in this pattern, or you can substitute ANY other Doodle charts!
This cowl is knit in the round, starting with a provisional cast-on. After casting on, create a purl row edge on the bottom, knit a section of stranded colorwork to desired height, add another purl row edge at the top, and then knit the second side! The reversible cowl is assembled by folding and grafting for a seamless finish.
