This sweater could be classified as a pullover or cardigan because the front and back of this lace garment are interchangeable, with a “round-neck pullover” look on one side and a “V-neck cardigan” look on the other side. You can use the same color on both sides, or different colors for each side. The sweater is worked from the bottom up, with reverse stockinette stitch borders on hem and cuffs. The V-neck’s button bands are worked concurrently with the fronts and extended to the round-neck side. There are folding lines along the center of the button bands, and the button bands are folded along the folding lines to the inner side to form thicker bands. The lace stitch pattern is from Hitomi Shida’s Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible.
