”Alcea” is part of Filcolana’s ”Colours of the Scandinavian Summer” collection. For this collection our team of designers have found inspiration in the incredible Scandinavian light and colours in the works of the Skagen Painters.
Alcea is the latin name for hollyhock – the tall fowers that grow along the houses and fences in Skagen town.
This long cardigan worked in two-coloured fisherman’s rib has a base of a blue as dark as the sea on a cloudy day, and contrast colours worked in two-coloured fisherman’s rib at the top of the design, which are reminiscent of the colours of the hollyhocks.

Alcea er det latinske navn for stokrose – de høje blomster, der vokser langs husmure og stakitter i Skagen by.
Denne lange cardigan i tofarvet halvpatent har mørkeblå bund som havet på en skyet dag og kontrastfarver øverst, der kunne lede tanken hen på blot et par af stokrosernes farver.

Alcea ist der lateinische Name der Stockrose – eben jener hohen Blumen, die entlang der Hausmauern und Gartenzäune in Skagen wächst.
Die Strickjacke im zweifarbigen Halbpatent hat einen dunkelblauen Grund, der an das Meer an einem wolkenverhangenen Tag erinnert und die Kontrastfarben oben, die einen an die Stockrose denken lassen.
