Aldwych Vest
This fun layering piece was inspired by classic bib overalls (dungarees) and Japanese haramaki (belly warmers), reimagined as a vest to wear over tops or, dresses for warmth and style. The deep-cut sides allow a full range of motion for your fanciest dramatic sleeves.
The front and back panels are worked from the top down with seed stitch and I-cord edges, as well as a centre slipped stitch detail. The front and back are joined to work the lower edge in the round, and the body is finished with a deep seed stitch hem. The straps are picked up from the back and worked towards the front, allowing you to easily customize your fit and length.
