THIS SHAWL design from Soraya Garcia alternates stripes of ribbing with stripes of two-colour brioche ribbing, separated with narrow welts of garter stitch. It’s worked top-down, starting with a garter tab cast-on, and finishing with a border of ribbing in a rich brown shade. Soraya’s shawl is knitted in John Arbon’s Yarnadelic Sport, a lovely Falklands Corriedale wool which comes in a range of 18 beautiful colours.
