Remember those carefree days of rummaging through candy shops, eyes wide and full of excitement, and then stumbling upon the vibrant, colourful world of Allsorts candies? Well, we’ve captured that same magic and nostalgia, and we’re bringing it to your feet, quite literally!
Introducing our All Sorted Out socks - the perfect blend of fashion and fun, inspired by the iconic Allsorts candy! What makes these socks truly unique is the charming motif that dances along the outside, creating a delightful visual treat for the eyes. But the real star of the show is the yarn these beauties are made of, masterfully dyed by the wizards at Turtlepurl Yarns.
Now, let’s take a moment to appreciate the true artists behind the scene - the talented folks at Turtlepurl Yarns. Their dedication to creating the most vibrant and mesmerizing colours has resulted in a yarn that genuinely captures the essence of Allsorts candy. It’s like they’ve managed to bottle up joy and weave it into every strand!
Worked in the round, this sock pattern contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for a heel flap and gusset, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using (links included for alternatives).
The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer (ensure you denote your instep stitches with extra markers – so you don’t miss the placement of the heel or toe shaping).
This sock pattern shines well with self-striping, solid, semi-solid, lightly variegated, or speckled yarns. Picking an appropriate yarn for this project will ensure the yarn and the pattern are not in competition with one another, rather, they’re working together to create something magical.
