All Together
All Together is an asymmetrical triangle shawl designed for playing with colour, contrast, and texture.
Bands of lace are linked by modular sections of floating cables over garter stripes in a choose your own adventure approach, creating a dynamic and highly customisable tapestry-like effect. Each section can flow on to any other section, or be continued to any size.
It was inspired by a gorgeous rainbow of yarn, a beautiful reminder that we all share this earth together, and that difference and diversity are qualities that strengthen us.
It is ideal for mini skein sets, blending solids/semi solids, or using up leftover scraps. Pairing a gradient and solid, or two gradients would also work brilliantly. I used the Jewel Rainbow mini skein set from River Knits, 12x20g/80m skeins of pure joy.
- The size of the shawl is adaptable, both the texture stitch and the lace sections can be worked to any size.
- Suits fingering to DK weight yarn in any yardage between approx 500m and 1500m.
- The design can be worked entirely from the written pattern, or from charts with some notes.
To those who bought the pattern during March 2020, thank you for helping raise $120 for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
