There is an errata for this cat which will be corrected on the second print run:
Alley Cat Errata
Back:
Reading twenty first row of text, which reads:
Next row: K1, K2tog, K12, K2tog, K12, ssK, K1. (30 sts)
This should read:
Next row: K1, K2tog, K26, ssK, K1. (30 sts)
Head:
Reading tenth line of text, following decrease row which reads as follows:
Row 2: P1, P2togtbl, purl to last 3 sts, P2tog, P1. (14 sts)
This should read ‘22 sts’ instead of 14.
The next line should then read: Repeat last two rows twice more. (14 sts)
Bib:
Reading seventh row of text, where it reads:
Work 5 rows in SS.
This should read ‘6’ rows. Therefore ending up ready to work a RS row next.
Feet:
Reading top line of text on page 93, where it reads:
Work 2 rows in SS.
This should read ‘3’ rows. Therefore ending up ready to work a RS row next.
Tip:
When working the back of the body you start by creating a triangular shape which will be the base of the cat. You then need to pick up the sititches along the decreased edges over the next two rows to join the base to what will be the rest of the body. It is important that you pick up the stitches knitwise or purlwise as indicated so that you don’t get a line on the right side of the body.
