There’s nothing like a nice hot water bottle to soothe an achy body. Even better if it has a soft, cute cover! This cover was designed with a supersoft merino-alpaca blend yarn to fit a standard 2 liter classic rubber hot water bottle with bottom shaping; directions are also provided for a flat bottom bottle
commonly found in the US.

SIZES:
14“ tall by 16.5“ circumference/35.5 cm tall by 42 cm circumference to fit a 2 liter water bottle (with bottom tab)
16“ tall by 16.5“ circumference/40.5 cm tall by 42 cm circumference to fit a 2 liter water bottle (without bottom tab)

GAUGE:
27 sts & 29 rows = 4“ 10 cm in stranded pattern after blocking
27 sts & 31 rows = 4“ 10 cm in stranded pattern before blocking

2 contrasting colors of sport weight yarn: Shown above in Cloudborn Fibers Merino Alpaca Sport (80%
Superwash Merino Wool/20% Baby Alpaca; 137 yds 125 m/50 gr 1.8 oz): colors 25-105 Midnight Heather and 25-002 Camel Heather. 2 skeins MC and 1 skein CC (159-217 yds MC & 37-53 yds CC needed)
U.S. 5 (3.75 mm) needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)
