These mittens feature alpaca amidst a variety of fair isle bands of differing widths to add visual interest. Designed as a thank-you gift for a friend who gifted me some alpaca fleece from her herd, the mittens were made with handspun yarn. Due to the large stitch count of the animal band repeats, only two sizes are offered. For smaller mittens, use smaller needles and/or finer yarn for a tighter gauge. For larger mittens, consider using heavier weight yarn and/or larger needles.

Pattern was fully test knit in handspun and commercial yarns- thanks Cait, Sabine, Edie, Linda, & Sharon!
