This hat is not just a hat, but a chance for a teaching moment. When my kids were young, there were no computer games and cell phones to teach them. On long car rides we played interactive games or read to each other aloud. This hat provides style and warmth, but it also provides a little retro fun too. Find all the letters and name them, find the shapes, how many hearts are there? How many triangles? What letter do the names of the shapes and motifs start with? The shapes are available only on the Large Child size due to height constraints.
