Alpine Wristlet
This bag came about because I wanted a silver bag to go with an outfit and had nothing and despite searching couldn’t find quite what I wanted. Using the beautiful alpine stitch it works up super quick with a crochet braid for the wristlet. I’ve lined mine and add the details of this too.
Difficulty
Written in US terminology throughout you will work from the bottom up using single, double and front post double crochet to create the texture. The braid is using a puff stitch with slip stitches, all of which has written instruction. Worked flat.
Materials Needed
Double knit (8 ply or light worsted), 45g / 100 meters / 110 yards, I’ve used James C Brett It’s Pure Cotton DK in colour way IC07 and held it with a strand of Rico Creative Make It to add the sequin sparkle
3.5mm (US E4) and 4mm (US G6) crochet hooks
Needle for sewing in ends
Optional - 20cm / 8 inch long zip, two fabric pieces measuring 22cm / 8.5 inches by 14cm / 5.5 inches and matching sewing thread
Finished Measurements
This bag measures approximately 20cm / 8 inches long and 13cm / 5 inches deep
Whilst this pattern has been checked we are all human so if you do encounter any problems please contact me. Happy stitching!
