Always Remembered Cowl
We grieve in different ways.
This cowl is dedicated to my friend Matt of nearly 20 years. He was a true, and uncompromising artist and I hope to honor him by creating and sharing this in his memory. I wanted to knit something because he was the only person who would wear my wonky, ill-fitting hats early on, and refused to give them up, even after I offered to upgrade them to new ones. I went back to the basics on this one because he was there to encourage me in my early fiber days. This is a 12-stitch pattern for his December birthday.
This pattern will always remain free in honor of him and those who will never forget their loved ones.

NOTES
This is a beginner-level, loose-gauged garter cowl with a selvedge edge that you can wrap around once, or left to hang low without twisting. This can be knit to the recommended size, or to your desired length.
Gauge is not crucial, but please note that I am a fairly loose knitter so you may have to adjust your needle size to achieve the same size.
