Wrap your little ones up in love with the beautiful Alwyn Blanket.

New babies deserve the very best, and this cosy blanket really fits the bill! Simple cables and travelling ribs combine with wrapped stitches to make an heirloom piece that will be treasured for years to come.

Construction
The Alwyn Blanket is worked in a single piece, starting with the bottom garter border. Knitting continues with a cable pattern for the central section, with a five-stitch garter border along both edges. You can work the cable pattern from the chart or written instructions, whichever you prefer.

Yarn
640 yards/590 metres of DK weight yarn.
The pattern contains guidance on adapting to different weights of yarn, from fingering to bulky.

Sample (blue) shown in Stylecraft WonderSoft Baby DK, 2 balls in 1032 Sky Blue
