Amarantha
Amarantha is inspired by traditional Russian Orenburg shawls. The fine lace yarn creates a light as air shawl. The pattern includes links to useful tutorials (see below & page 2 of pattern).
Note: lace patterns are both charted and written out.
Sample used 72g of yarn (approx 864m).
Materials:
Dragon Hill Studios Launceston Lace 1200 (2ply, 70% Alpaca/20% Silk/10% Cashmere; 1200m/ 1312yds per 100g skein x 1 skein. Shown in: Red Clover
3.25mm (UK 10/US 3) knitting needles

Basic Skills: cast on, knit, purl, sl wyif
Decreases: k2tog, k3tog, sk2po
Increases: yo
Lace (using Chart or Written Instructions)

Grafting (see Tutorial)
Provisional Cast-on - any method can be used (see Tutorial for Invisible Cast-on)

Length: 185.5cm/74¼in
Tension:
17.5 sts and 19 rows over 10cm/4in in Chart B after blocking.
Exact tension is not essential but a difference in tension may affect the final size and amount of yarn used.
