The February Design of our Calender Knit Time 2022, a warm, gorgeous all over cabled rustic cardigan. I have re-knitted and reworked this design for myself in a more rustic, worsted yarn - Zealana Heron.

Cut and Making:
The cardigan is knit bottom up in pieces. It has a very good fit because of the slightly sloped shoulders and set in arms. The button bands in rib pattern are immediately integrated with both front parts. The decreases for the V-neck hole are worked behind the button bands. The various cable and twisted stich patterns are described row by row and the charts are to find on the last page. A very fine detail is the inversible cables going away from the front center for a harmonious look. The cardigan can be knitted with a slight waist shaping for those who want to. This is made with changing first to smaller and later back to bigger needle sizes and hence the cable patterns are not changed. The waist shaping details you can find at the end of the pattern description separately. I would recommend this shaping for a curvy body, it will really flatter you. The cardigan here in the tweedy pink is made without waist shaping, the original cardigan published in 2013 and made with grey Kauri Fingering has one.
