Rolling hills gently stretch over the plain, far and wide. Their verdant sides seem like a velvet cloth gently draped over their surroundings. Volcanoes have shaped this landscape and have gone dormant, creating humps and bumps as if curled up in their sleep.
Amarijo is a West wind from such a place, in the center of France: from the Massif Central and Limousin regions. A place that knows many streams and water sources.
The Amarijo shawl is an asymmetric extended triangle with wavy edges echoing those gentle hills. Columns of stitches move their way up from tip to edging like water streams flowing downhill. Join this adventure amongst the hills; follow your very own winding stream.

For best effect, use a smooth, round yarn with reasonable stitch definition. Yarn weights ranging from Fingering to DK would be suitable. As for colorways, I would recommend solid, semi-solid, tonal variegated, speckled, or gradient (single skein or gradient set) yarns.

Do you like the Amarijo shawl? You might like those patterns too: The Basalt Swirl cowl / stole, and the Humbelli cowl. For endless fun with wavy lace! Check them out!
