CONSTRUCTION
Amber sweater is knit bottom up in the round to the underarm, then divided for front and back to be worked flat. The modified drop sleeves are picked up and the cap is created with the help of short rows, eliminating all extra fabric for a better fit. The sleeves are knit in the round top down which allows to modify their length.
DESIGN DETAILS
Texture
Traveling voluminous cables are knit against a simple knit/purl textured background. The cable looks different depending on the angle - whether it is a diamond shape formed on each side, or an hourglass on the front, or simple cable twists on the shoulder. Rich in texture body creates a contrast with plain stockinette stitch sleeves.
Sleeves
Sleeves are knit in the round top down, in a simple stockinette stitch, starting with a cap shaped with simple short rows. The length is adjustable.
Neckline
A classic neckline is trimmed with 1x1 ribbing.
Sizing
The sweater is graded for 8 sizes with approximately 8” of ease. The sample is shown in size Small with 8″ of ease.
