This pretty baby blanket is made using a feather and lace stitch, to create a pram-sized baby blanket.

Once you get going with this repetitive stitch pattern, this project will help you relax and unwind as you find your rhythm.

It’s easy to make, and perfect for a newborn gift.

For beginner knitters and experienced knitters alike. Stitches include: Knit, purl, K2tog, K2togtbl, SSK, PSSO.

A pretty moss stitch border is added by working along each side separately.

Yarn: 300g of double knitting weight yarn in orange (or your colour of choice)

I used Patons Extrafine Merino DK which is now discontinued:

6 x 50g/120m in Apricot (shade 00123)

You could try: Emu Classic DK 100g (282m)

3 x Carrot (117)

Cost excluding postage for yarn is approximately £6 using Emu yarn.

Needles: 4mm (US 6) knitting needles

Scissors

Wool/tapestry needle

Pom-Pom maker (otherwise, you can use your hands)
